intended for children in P5 upwards who are taking lessons on an instrument
or voice and/or who sing in a choir, at EYM or elsewhere.
classes are intended to help children to develop their general
understanding of music, both aural and theoretical, including reading and
writing music, musical memory, aural perception and inner hearing, and
include both practical and written activities. They are open to
those who have completed the Musical Foundations classes as well as those
who have not. There
is no upper age limit; currently the oldest pupils are 16. Children are grouped according to age and stage.
